This is Melanie. Melanie has been with Avenues Supported Living Services for over 22 years. She loves helping the community. Melanie volunteers throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. Melanie helps out at The SCV Food Pantry weekly. There she organizes donated food and helps assemble care packages for families in need of food their income cannot support. She also assists at Help the Children twice a week organizing donated food and personal products. You can find her volunteering at Real Life Church twice a week helping prepare craft materials for the preschool children. She also volunteers at the Closet on Main, organizing clothing donations on hangars. Melanie’s brother served in the US Army and when she has extra time, Mel writes thank you notes to military personnel and donates them to Operation Gratitude to include in their care packages. Melanie’s volunteer efforts during the week accrue about 80 miles of travel. Your support and a financial donation will help us continue to provide transportation for Melanie’s volunteer commitments.
